Reiki

Reiki, Rei (Higher power) and Ki (life for energy), is an old Japanese form of energy healing that uses a natural, non-invasive method of treatment of laying one’s hands on the recipient. It is believed that when our life force is low, stress and illness are more likely to occur. By simply laying one’s hands in certain areas on the body, a Reiki practitioner can help conduct the natural flow of Life force energy to the recipient to the areas where life force energy is low. Acupuncture

Originating over 5,000 years ago in China, Acupuncture is a traditional oriental medicine technique that involves the insertion of extremely thin needles into the skin at strategic points on our bodies called meridians. Acupuncturists examine a person’s life energy or one’s “vital flow” (Qi), and determines where and if the energy flow is stagnant, unbalanced, or blocked. Using a thin needling technique, acupuncturists stimulate and release blocked energy to establish homeostasis of this vital energy flow. Acupuncture relieves common ailments such as allergies, arthritis, anxiety, asthma, weight loss, fibromyalgia, infertility, and hormone imbalances among many other physical and mental ailments.

Some reasons to see an Acupuncturist:

CranioSacral Therapy

CranioSacral therapy (CST) is a gentle, non-invasive, hands-on, whole-person therapy founded on the belief that the body knows exactly how to heal on the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels.   Stress, injuries, and trauma cause restrictions which lead to a decrease in nerve transmission and flow of vital fluids which then produce symptoms of pain and discomfort, and contribute to dysfunction and poor health of the central nervous system, muscles, and organs.  By complementing the body's natural healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction.  During the session, you are fully clothed and the therapist uses a gentle and sensitive touch to feel for and assist your body to release restrictions in the normal movement of fluids, tissues, and bone.  Because CST puts your body in charge of healing, there are no harmful effects from this work.

Some reasons to see a CranioSacral therapist:

  • Support the immune system

  • Reduce stress, tension, and fatigue

  • Improve recovery after injury or surgery

  • Reduce chronic muscle pain, especially in the neck and back

  • Treat headaches and migraines

  • Reduce symptoms of chronic ailments such as fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue

  • Reduce symptoms of depression, anxiety, and PTSD

  • Treat TMJ

  • Improve sleep

  • Treat chronic sinus problems

  • Reduce symptoms of PMS and menopause
